I've definitely fallen into the trap of "getting my money's worth", only to feel like I snake that's eaten a huge meal and must just sit and digest for hours on end... These days I use my stomach/common sense and avoid the price per bite ratio! :)Ryanhttp://www.1year100pounds.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-817953982491612075.post-57379640316037575962011-10-14T16:33:06.838+01:002011-10-14T16:33:06.838+01:00Buffets definitely have their challenges -- this w...Buffets definitely have their challenges -- this was the first time I approached it and realized how much control I actually had ... I think there's also the price factor. If people know they're going to an 'all you can eat' buffet for a certain price, then why not get their money's worth? I think that kind of mentality also contribute to the overindulgence ... it's just about getting to the point of realizing that the amount of effort it's going to take to work off those calories is not worth the price!PlumPetalshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16879841900594034234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-817953982491612075.post-12368031977663377732011-10-14T07:09:53.123+01:002011-10-14T07:09:53.123+01:00Very cool to hear you had a good buffet experience...Very cool to hear you had a good buffet experience. There's also the inkling to also try just a taste of everything, knowing you'll stop when you've had enough... Buffets can be belt buckling bulging if not in control... :)Ryan Yewellhttp://www.1year100pounds.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-817953982491612075.post-3492525807391831502011-10-14T02:48:19.869+01:002011-10-14T02:48:19.869+01:00I used to like buffets back when I didn't care...I used to like buffets back when I didn't care about how much I weighed. Now they just make me kind of nauseated because there's too much food. I'm glad you were able to find some food you enjoyed. I never liked eating at them unless they were for private events. I think your mindset with the food is commendable though.. once people realize they are in absolute control and 100 percent responsible over their food intake, they are taking steps in the right direction! :0) Yay for you and yay for gorgeous heels in pretty boxes!Carbie Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01848973885005198860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-817953982491612075.post-79427878301478671112011-10-13T16:17:55.540+01:002011-10-13T16:17:55.540+01:00I completely agree IF the buffet at least offers s...I completely agree IF the buffet at least offers something healthy. I've been to some where even the veggies can be a diet disaster. We had a birthday a few weeks ago at a buffet aimed at kids, and I got myself so worked up over nothing. They had salads, fruit, and baked potato halves. You just have to NOT put the pizza and tacos on your plate ;)the strawberryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03457524496945410791noreply@blogger.com
