I don’t know about you, but for me, the last 2 months of the
year are deadly for my waistline. Despite my discipline and my passion for
fitness, I find that there are too many temptations around during the holiday
season – whether it is the cold weather tempting me to stay home instead of go
to the gym, holiday dinners tempting me to go back for more helpings, or those
oh so tempting desserts that seem to always call my name. There’s temptation
anywhere.
I don’t think trying to stay healthy during the holidays is
impossible nor do I think that trying to be a bit disciplined and aware of
choices is something that should be seen as a punishment, something getting in the way
of enjoying our celebrations.
I know that I’m tired of waking up on January 1st
and thinking – oh man, I’ve gained weight again and now I’ve got to work extra
hard (again) to try to get this weight off – along with the rest of the weight
I’m trying to lose as well.
I don’t want to end 2014 feeling disappointed nor do I want
to begin 2015 feeling overwhelmed.
With that in mind, I'm thinking of setting up a short challenge to help but I'm gauging interest before I fully go for it. The basic outline is below (further details coming soon). It's not about restricting any foods or anything -- just about being a bit mindful through the holidays so a weigh in on January 1st won't be intimidating! :)
Let me know if you'd be interested in joining.
I am trying to begin again and this looks do-able. Would like to know more.
ReplyDeleteThat's great :) I'll post further details tomorrow!
DeleteI started a challenge of sorts with the 100 day count down until the new year and I think your challenge fits in with my challenge. I'll keep you company!
