A Bit of Motivation

I've been reading a lot of blog posts about people struggling to stick to the plan and losing the motivation to workout, so for today, I'm just going to share quotes that help keep me motivated.

Remember, this is a change for life, it's not temporary. You've got to be patient and persistent - and work damn hard!

Practice makes perfect -- so keep practicing. Athletes didn't become who they are over night; they worked hard to get to where they are now. Everybody starts somewhere.

Create a sustainable plan and stick to it -- and then don't give up!

Nothing beats the feeling of a good workout!

  1. These are great quotes - very motivating! I agree that you just have to keep plugging away. I tell myself it's ok to jog at 4 mph because it's still faster than the pace I walk. Right now I am working on running for length of time, not speed. I like the last quote's a good reminder not to quit when we feel tired because often times, the tiredness is just all in our heads.

  2. It's true - it's for life. If we go back to doing what we were, we will be right back where we started. So what was all the hard work for? I wish more of us could realize that the changes need to be things we can continue forever.
