Rest/Active Recovery Day

Fridays are the one day in the week when I don't have any exercise classes scheduled.
To be honest, it's quite a relief. I've kind of left it up to myself to either go to the gym, do something outdoors, or do absolutely nothing at all.

I told myself that if the weather was good today then I'd go to the outdoor track for a walk, with a few sprints thrown in to help get my heart-rate up. However, it was really nasty outside - a mixture of fog and dust. Definitely not weather to be outside in.

I knew I wanted to do something but I didn't want anything really intense. It has felt like a long week. So, I just settled on doing my burpees for the day, though I ended up doing 100 instead of 60 and I'm quite pleased with that.

My big treat of the day was going for a massage.

It was absolutely heaven. I did not want it to end, and I left promising myself that I'd do this at least every other week.

Today's Workout
Stretching: 20 minutes
Burpees: 100 {challenge total: 1,340/20,130}

Today's Food
Breakfast: Egg white omelet w/mushrooms and tomato
Lunch: Grilled salmon over quinoa and veggies
Dinner: Lots of fish


  1. I can't stand for strangers to touch me. I think it is a phobia. So I would have to find someone I knew to have a massage. I know it is weird.

    I wish I could get comfortable cooking fish. I always think I will mess it up so I don't try. If I do have fish, it is always in a restaurant. :)
