Off Sync

I'm feeling slightly off sync today. I think the disruption in my normal routine for the past 3 days has kinda caught up to me.

I didn't work out today. I had a lot on my mind. Normally I would have gone to the gym to work it out, but it just wasn't happening today.

There's going to be another change in my training - I won't be continuing with taekwondo & BJJ at the moment. It's a long story and one that's had me stressed out for the better part of the day, but I'm hoping that when I wake up tomorrow everything will be sorted out and I'll be back to 'normal.'

Last night's Gladiators Fight Championship (#GFC) was great. It was my first time watching fights live and I loved it. Out of 12 fights none went the distance. The one that almost went the full 3 rounds was the one I was most excited about - how/why it ended is a bit of a controversy at the moment, but here's a shot of the fighter (in front) and my friends/his coach entering the Octagon.

Here's another shot of the last fighter about to enter the Octagon.

That's it from me today -- hopefully my regular, energy-filled posts will resume from tomorrow. Today, I just need some rest.

  1. I have a 34 year old son that tries to get to all the MMA in his area. He's a big fan. There's a movie you might enjoy with Kevin James called, "Here comes the Boom." It combines love of teaching school with MMA fighting. It's funny:)

  2. Since you put in more exercise time that almost anybody else I know, I would say some well deserved rest is in order. Here's to a new week and a new plan. :)

  6. I'm very confident that even without those two classes you will get enough exercise in--because you love it. You might find that rest days make you a *lot* better on exercise days. I do hope that everything is okay.
